PUSHKIN tells the story of two giants in Russia’s tumultuous history: – the nation’s Poet, Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, and the nation’s Tsar, Nicholas I. Their relationship begins with mutual need and mutual admiration and ends in the tragic death of Pushkin.

PUSHKIN had a concert performance  in Moscow’s Novaya Opera Theatre on 4 February 2017 as part of the Epiphany Festival.

The staged world première took place at Grange Park Opera , West Horsley Place near London on Wednesday 11th July and Thursday 12th July 2018, It was performed by Moscow’s  Novaya Opera company with Peter Auty singing the part of Pushkin.

On Friday 7th June 2019 the staged Russian première of PUSHKIN took place at the Novaya Opera Theatre in Moscow and has been performed regularly by the company since then.
